Olympus Garden

A staggering view of Mount Olympus inspired this American classic landscape design. Both adults and kids can appreciate this layout: a custom “big kid” swing-set mounted in the shade of a century-old apricot tree with a raised trampoline platform, full-sized, permeable concrete sport court designed for both tennis and basketball, framed by seamless, architectural concrete walls, and a grass area large enough to host a soccer game.

A semi-circular stone seating wall frames the apricot tree and retains upper garden beds, and offers a peaceful, shady area to escape the mid-summer heat. Large evergreens line the backyard to allow for a private hot tub experience with a full view of Mount Olympus. A large raised and ground level vegetable garden with customized irrigation maximizes its ability to grow enough food to feed the entire family. A covered atrium with wood fireplace and sand-tech finished concrete patio allows for a relaxing outdoor dining experience. Crushed gravel pathways link both sides of the backyard to the front. Wood trellis and wrought iron gates keep the back garden private. Lined with huge evergreens, stepable groundcovers, radiant perennials, and thick, dark green shrubs, these areas allow for a nice stroll through lush corridors. Functional and aesthetic curved stonewalls shape the front entryway, allowing for a multi-level, layered garden design. Kiln-fired, Virginia clay pavers meander to the front door and are rug-set into the radiant heated driveway to greet guests.
