French Country in the heart of Holladay. A classic European garden blends this unique home into its wooded 2-acre landscape. Linear crushed gravel walkways with neatly trimmed hedges frame the front garden. This large, castle-like home is brought to scale using plant layering—tall evergreens, medium-sized shrubs fading into ground-level perennials and groundcover. An inviting corridor consisting of old world cobble pavers leads to a gorgeous courtyard framed by Renaissance-era rustic arbors and pergolas, bluestone patios with custom wrought iron “belly” railings, granite walls, and a commanding granite fireplace with an inlaid family crest. One of our most challenging, yet rewarding, projects to date.
