This seamlessly blended family garden with a modern aesthetic was completed in only four weeks—just in time for a traditional German wedding! Custom stonework serves as functional seating walls and borders to enhance the updated look of the garden. We refurbished and relocated an existing pergola to increase usable space and enhance the setting for a circular patio with gas fireplace and private hot tub. To blend the new garden with the tennis court we created an elaborate raised garden complete with evergreens and perennials for a lush hot tub setting. This transition garden connects an elevated tennis court to the main garden using a natural slab-stone staircase.
A meandering gravel walkway blends the front and backyard gardens, surrounded by bright-colored perennials, radiant groundcover, and a variety of plump shrubs. The large vegetable garden includes robust raised garden beds and fruit trees, with spaces for berries, culinary herbs, and two compost bins. A gratuitous kid-zone features a regulation tennis court, a nearly full-size soccer field, custom playhouse, swing-set, and sandbox. Traditional stone columns greet guests with a matching sandstone rug-insert walkway as the front garden’s main attraction.
